Considerably handicapped by the absence of Jim Thackers, regular number 1 man, and Gordie Robertson, number 5, due to divisionals, the Varsity tennis team were whitewashed, 9 to 0, by the undefeated Princeton netmen in Tigerland Saturday. Bob Bentley and Dick Dorson were the only Crimson singles players to garner a set.

Reversing the Varsity debacle, the Yardling racquetmen blanked the visiting M.I.T. Freshmen, 9 to 0. Jim Arensberg, playing at number 3 for the Crimson, was the only man extended to three sets.

The Varsity summary:

Singles--Minnich (P) defeated Glidden 6-0, 6-3; Whitman (P) defeated Helmholz 6-1, 6-0; Tilden (P) defeated Bentley 7-5, 3-6, 6-1; Martin (P) defeated Fuld 6-4, 6-2; Rawls (P) defeated Dorson 6-1, 5-7, 6-1; Baker (P) defeated Sullo way 9-7, 6-4.
