SKIERS PLAN WEEKEND ON WILDCAT AND TAFT TRAILS WITH PROCTOR

Never inactive, even for a weekend when they do not plan to enter any meets, the Crimson skiers will spend two days running the Wildcat and Taft trails under the guidance of Coach Charley Proctor.

Captain Carter and twelve or fifteen of his men will go up to Jefferson, which they will use as their headquarters. Tomorrow they will speed down the Wildcat in Pinkham Notch.

In running a trail, Proctor goes down ahead of them and stops on some difficult turn. As the others follow, he watches to see if they take the curve the right way. Then he tells them the proper line to follow and where to check.

All this information is important in racing. The fellow who can take the turns fastest without falling down, which is as much a matter of picking the right way as it is of balance, is going to be up with the best.

Sunday the skiers will go to Franconia and try out the Taft trail there. In the following few weeks, there will be races on both these runs so that the Crimson should be all prepared for them.

A few other greased board exponents intend to go to Mt. Grace, Warwick, for the Massachusetts Third Class Championship.
