Today is comparatively uneventful in point of local soccer interest. With no intercollegiate opponent on its schedule the Varsity plays the Swedish Americans here, while the Freshman go to Worcester Academy in the annual home and home series between the two teams.
In defeat by Princeton last week the Crimson Varsity approached its best form. At 12:30 o'clock this afternoon Coach Carr sends the same lineup back on the field in an effort to smooth out rough spots on the attack before the final two game drive against Springfield and Yale.
Smarting under their defeat by Andover last Saturday the Yardlings face no setup in the Worcester schoolboys whose better than average team has already held Phillips Academy to a scoreless tie.
The Freshman lineup: g., Merrill (Capt.); rf., Deakin; lf., Doughty; rh., Rousmaniere; ch., Scully; lh., Johnson; re., Halstead; ri., Ogie; c., Mendel; li., White; le., Page.
