Eleven lettermen were included in the group of forty candidates who reported to Coach Joe Stubbs for the first Hockey meeting of the year, held at the Varsity Club last night. The first practice session was set for next Tuesday, although of course no gridsters will be able to start ice work until after the Yale game.

The letermen are George S. Ford '37, captain, Charles R. Allen '38, John M. Callaway '37, Louis B. Carr '37, Edward L. Cutter Jr. '38, Leo A. Ecker '37, Eugene Emerson '38, Samuel T. Hicks Jr. '38, John S. Mechem '38, Ralph L. Pope Jr. '38, and George F. Roberts '38.

Besides these, Coach Stubbs is expecting great things from many of last year's undefeated Freshmen puckmen led by their high-scoring captain, Francis A. Harding Jr. '39. The '39 Yardlings are also supplying three goalies who won numerals, Alexander D. Irving 2d, Howard A. Johnson Jr. and David C. Wilder.
