Those Who Played Major Part of Army Game Excused from Scrimmage but B and C Teams Drive

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Wholesale changes in Dick Harlow's Varsity A team were forecast when a first team, selected for pass defense work yesterday was announced, with four new names.

As there was no scrimmage for men who had played the greater part of the Army game, the only thing observers could go on, was the A team selected by Harlow for work on pass defense and offence.

This squad lined up as follows: Green, l.e., Kevorkian, l.t., Gaffney, l.g., Jones, c., Kessler, r.g., Booth, r.t., Staples, r.e., Wilson; q, Roberts, l.h., Brooks, r.h., Struck, f.

Four Horsemen

Green, Booth, Staples, and Brooks did not start against Army although all of them saw service in the game. Three of the four, Green, Booth, and Brooks are all Sophomores, but they have developed fast since the start of the season, and but for the fact that it is well-known that coaches dislike to bring second-year men along too fast, all three would probably have started earlier.

Whether there is any significance in these four new changes will not be definitely known until the A team to oppose Dartmouth is formed tomorrow. However it seems more than likely that the backfield in yesterday's first team will be the starters when it is recalled that they form the quartet Harlow had together all during spring practice.

Long Scrimmage

The end of yesterday's session was enlivened with a 50 minute scrimmage between B and C squads and the Jayvees. No men who played the greater part of Saturday's game was used. In this scrimmage, half offensive and half defensive, the general spirit of the squad was good and there was the same drive that has characterized previous sessions.

H.A.A. officials announced yesterday that the advance ticket sale for the Dartmouth game so far is ahead of the sale of tickets for the Army game at a corresponding time last week.
