Debaters to Carry New Deal Banner Against Dartmouth

Sullivan Will Support Liberalism, and McDonald Finances, of FDRule

Dartmouth will be the first opponent of the Debating Council tonight, as it opens its fall schedule in Hanover on the question, "Resolved, That Franklin D. Roosevelt should be reelected President of the United States." Harvard will take the affirmative.

The team will consist of Richard W. Sullivan '38 and Donald McDonald '39. Alternates are Lawrence Ebb '39, who will make the trip to Hanover, and Rendig T. Fels '39.

Dartmouth has indicated that it will confine itself to criticism of the present administration rather than support of any other party.

Sullivan will support Roosevelt as a representative of the needed Liberalism in Government, and McDonald will uphold the financial policy of the administration, and will attempt to show that something worth while has been achieved by increasing the deficit.
