Tallying four times in the last half the Varsity soccer team gathered strength to smother Tufts 5-0 here yesterday afternoon.
Bob White, in his first start on the forward line, opened the scoring when he converted a pass from John Johanson towards the close of the second period. Succeeding tallies were registered by Dick Powell on a pensity kick, White unassisted, Johansen on a pass from White, and Jim Wood on a corner kick from White and a pass from Dick Lewis.
Despite the quintet of goals the team's passing and shooting was slow and inaccurate with the resultant loss of numerous other scoring opportunities.
