Success met the Harvard Squash team at every turn this vacation.
The first was on December 21 against the Rhode Island Squash Racquets Association. The Crimson won 4-1. Playing for Harvard were Germaine G. Glidden '36, John C. Develin '38, John L. Clark '36, James J. Thackara '36, and Donald E. Jackson, Jr. '37.
The second, played on January 1, was against Purdue University and was at the University Club in New York. The score was 5-0, and four of these five were 3-0 games.
Glidden, who finished the year holding the collegiate championship of the United States, won the first invitation squash tournament, held at the University Club of New York as well. In the finals he was put up against Gilder, his classmate whom he rebuffed 3-1.
