Winning the Harvard-Yale-Princeton-Dartmouth League Chess meet, held on December 22 and 23. Harvard returned with the Bolden-Stephens Trophy, presented to the winner for one year.

On the Chess team are Herman E. Schroeder '36, president of the Chess Club, Erich W. Marchand '36, John R. Hickam '36, and Jackson Palmer '39.
