WPA Orchestra Will Present Second Concert on Thursday

Commonwealth Symphony Players to Perform in Sanders Theatre

As a W.P.A. project, a second concert by the Commonwealth Symphony Orchestra, Ernst Hoffman, conductor, will be held Thursday at 8:15 o'clock in Sanders Theatre.

The announcement was issued by the Federal Music Project, Dr. Nickolai Sokoloff, director.

The Commonwealth Orchestra, one of the musical units sponsored by the Boston authority of the W.P.A., has secured the cooperation of Harvard University for this symphony series. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program for Thursday evening: Petite Symphonie  Gounod Serenade  Luening Schauspieldirektor, Overture  Mozart Symphony No. 4 in F minor, OP. 36  Tschaikowsky
