TERCENTENARY

The open letter to the Crimson from Elliott C. Cutler, '09, president of the Associated Harvard Clubs, welcomes undergraduates to participation in the Tercentenary Celebration, and shows specifically what they may do to help it along. But the main stumbling block, which is the date of the affair before the reopening of college, still remains to be solved.

Will the Yard and the Houses be open for habitation when the undergraduates come back early for the celebration? If not, where will they be able to stay in Cambridge when the available space is being bid for among the "Ten Thousand Men of Harvard"? These are practical questions which will worry undergraduates.

As for the celebration itself, it seems, as its scope develops, to promise a splendid entertainment, and the more this fact becomes known to undergraduates and graduates alike, the less important are the difficulties of activities and habitation.
