GLIDDEN DROPS POSITION IN SURPRISE TOURNAMENT LOSS

In a startling upset in the Massachusetts State Squash Championship, Germaine G. Glidden, '36, Intercollegiate Champion and last year's finalist, was defeated in straight games by D. Meiklejohn, 18-17, 15-11, 15-12. Glidden was seeded number one in the tournament.

R. W. Gilder, '36, seeded number seven, defeated Marshal Fabyan Jr., '34, former Harvard Squash Captain 3 games to 1.

A. W. Sulloway, '36, was defeated by A. L. Devens Jr., of the Harvard Club, 15-10, 15-11, 15-12.

J. L. Clark, '36, was defeated by F. L. Young, of the Harvard Club, 15-9, 12-15, 15-13, 15-12.

D. E. Jackson, Jr., '36, the only remaining undergraduate in the tournament, has not yet played.
