Hoping to secure enough signatures to guarantee the success of the course, a petition has been posted in the Union, Sever, Pierce, and the Geological Museum asking that the University provide a course in meteorology and climatology during the coming year.
For three years the course has been listed as "to be omitted next year" and this is the last opportunity for men in the Class of 1936 to study the subject.
It is understood that the University does not object to the idea in principle, but feels that adding the course at this late date will not allow enough students to enroll. Fifteen signatures have already been attached to the petition which will be presented to the president next week.
