What is generally conceded to be one of the greatest college baseball teams makes its appearance here this afternoon when the varsity meets Holy Cross in the first game of their annual series.

Coach Jack Barry brings down a 1935 Crusader nine which was won 17 of its 18 starts, including two wallops at Yale's expense and one at that of Dartmouth, a team which will field eight regulars whose average batting weight is .402.

Against this array of power Coach Fred Mitchell sends a full-strength lineup and the veteran mound ace, Bill Lincoln. He will try for another win to match Eddie Loughlin's 8-7 victory over these same Crusaders last year.

The game is a twilight affair scheduled for 6 o'clock. A return encounter will be held at Holy Cross on Saturday.
