SCOTT, SEAVEY SUBMIT LEGAL DRAFTS TO A. I. I.

At a meeting of the American Law Institute in Washington tomorrow, Austin W. Scott, Story Professor of Law, and Warren A. Seavey '01, professor of Law, will submit drafts on "The Law of Trusts" and "The Law Relating to Restitution."

The American Law Institute, which since its foundation has been a particular project of the Harvard Law School, is concerned with a restatement of the law after consideration of the existing cases and laws.

Particular branches of the law are assigned to individual men who rewrite and clarify all the existing data on the subject and then submit a draft of their findings to be discussed by the whole Institute, which is composed of several hundred prominent lawyers, judges, and law professors.

To date several volumes have been published by the Institute, many of them having been written by members of the Harvard Law School Faculty, including "The Law of the Conflict of Laws" by Joseph H. Beale '82, Royall Professor of Law; "The Law of Contracts" by Samuel Williston '82, Dane Professor of Law; "The Law of Agency" by Professor Scavey; and "The Law of Torts" by Francis H. Bohlen, professor at the University of Pennsylvania and a former member of the Harvard Law School Faculty.
