HARVARD MAN IS SHUT UP IN GARRET DURING CONTEST

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Incarcerated in an attic room at New York, with a small slot in the door through which meals were served to him, Paul N. Heffernan of the Harvard Architectural School last night concluded a 36-hour vigil in competition for a fellowship which will mean two and a half years of study at the Ecole des Beaux Architects for the winner.

Three other contestants remain in the trials for the prize, with one week more to go before the judges will make their decision. During that period, there will be two more periods of imprisonment for the four architects, with details of the tests which they are taking a mystery to all but the judges and contestants.
