VARSITY BOATMEN ROW AT COAST THIS SUMMER

YALE, PENN, CORNELL TO MAKE TRIP TO CALIFORNIA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In answer to an invitation addressed to the Varsity crew to row in the Long Beach regatta in July, William J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics, yesterday wired acceptance, after all but one of the oarsmen voted in favor of it. Bob Cutler, stroke, is the only one unable to make the trip, while according to regulations, at least six of the eight men who row against Yale must go to the coast.

The Pacific crews rowing will be University of California at Berkeley, Washington, and the University of California at Los Angeles, while the other eastern representative may be Yale, Pennsylvania, or Cornell. Princeton has been sounded out, but is unable to send a crew.

The Crimson eight will return to Cambridge after the Yale race on Friday, June 21, and will work out on the Charles until the first part of July.
