Five Men Qualify for Finals Of Spring Sculling Regatta

Trials for Carroll Cup Will Begin on Thursday

From a total of over 40 men entered in the semi-finals of the annual spring sculling regatta yesterday, five men have qualified for participation in the finals to be held on Friday.

The winners of the five respective heats rowed, each of whom will compete for the University Championship on Friday, include August Haffenreffer '38, Hallock C. Campbell 3G, Henry R. Ames '38, Garrett Eddy '38, and Joseph Blumenthal '38.

The novice singles preliminaries, open to all men who have not competed prior to this year, will open tomorrow afternoon, with the Carroll Cup trials for experienced oarsmen taking place on Thursday. The finals for both competitions are scheduled to be held on Friday.
