Upholding the affirmative side of the question, "Resolved, That the teaching of military science in our colleges should be discontinued," the Freshman debating team downed Princeton's squad in the Union last night, by a unanimous decision of the judges of the contest.

At the conclusion of the debate, John Andrew Sullivan, Jr. was announced as the winner of the Coolidge Prize of $25 awarded annually to the Freshman making the best speech in the trials for the H-Y-P Freshman debate. Jay W. Kaufman and Benjamin were awarded honorable mention for the prize. Kaufmann and Sullivan debated at Yale last evening with the negative Harvard team.
