HARVARD, WELLESLEY, M.I.T., STAGE OPERETTA

Assisted by 16 Harvard undergraduates, a group selected from the musical and dramatic societies at Wellesley College will stage the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta "Princess Ida," tomorrow and Saturday at 8 o'clock in Alumnae Hall, Wellesley. Ten men from M.I.T. will also take part in the production.

All but one of the male leads will be taken by Harvard men. James H. Goulder '36 will play the part of King Hildebrand; Joseph F. Lautner '22, now in the Music department, Hilarion; William Shelmerdine '37, Cyril; John C. Cort '35, Florian; Thomas O. Jones '38, Arac; William G. Cahan '35, Guron; and Herbert S. Wallis '36, Seynthius.

The male chorus of 20 men is composed of ten Harvard Freshmen and Sophomores and ten Tech men. The Harvard men in the chorus are: Spencer S. Beman, III '38, Roy J. Benecchi '37, George F. Bigelow '38, Howard A. Brinkman '38, Harold W. Danser, Jr. '37, Ernest A. Gray, Jr. '37, Paul V. Harper, Jr. '37, Harvey Huston '38, Howard A. Brinkman '38, Edward O. Miller '37, and Edward H. Peterson '37.

Malcolm H. Holmes '28 is director of the orchestra and Edward B. Greene '26, musical director.
