Mrs. Murdock Holds Display Of Oil Paintings This Week

Exhibition Includes Nine Pictures in Still Life

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

An exhibition of oils, the most outstanding of which are "Spring Flowers" and "Victorian Parlour," is being held this week in the Dunster House Bookshop by Mrs. Kenneth B. Murdock.

The nine paintings, "Cyclamen," "Spider Wort," "Yellow Iris," "Spring Flowers," "Victorian Parlour," "Autumn Flowers," "Peonies," "Still Life," and "Bee Balm" are arranged over the book shelves, which are covered with light brown paper to give a monotone background.

All the pictures are still life, almost all containing flowers. The majority of these oils were done in the Murdocks' summer home in New Hampshire.

The present exhibition marks the third art display of the year in the Dunster Book Shop.
