CRIMSON THIRD IN FIELD WITH .960 AVERAGE TO DATE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At the end of the first week of League competition, the Crimson baseball team is perched in a tie for second place with the Columbia Lions.

Bill Lincoln is tied for high ranking pitcher with Olson of Dartmouth, Gannett of Columbia, and Lindheimer of Cornell, all with perfect records, but only Lincoln and Olson have pitched two games.

In individual batting, with the exception of Dick Fletcher, who connected safely his only time up, Johnny Adzigian leads the Harvard stickmen with a cool .500 average. The team falls off badly after this, and the next hitter is Frankie Owen, hitting .364.

Tht Mitchellmen, as a team, are batting only a paltry .232 for fourth place, and in the field they rank third with .960.

The League ranking:   Won  Lost Dartmouth  2  0 Harvard  2  1 Columbia  2  1 Princeton  2  2 Cornell  1  3 Pennsylvania  1  3 Yale  0  1
