Channing, a sophomore who gained his proficiency through his playing at Canford School, England, will take care of the stand-off half position. Fisher and Brooks are graduate students who formerly played with Princeton. Howard has ably covered the right inside for all the games so far this year.
Thought it has been organized for only two years, the Long Island Club will field a team that averages 175 pounds in its forward line, a team that has improved fast under competition with New York clubs. They use a varied style of play, making frequent use of the on-side kick, and inasmuch as they are coached by a graduate of McGill and Oxford. Arthur Yates, they use plenty of lateral passes.
