Captained by Frank W. Jones, Jr. '35, a combined Harvard and Yale tennis team will meet an Oxford and Cambridge aggregation this summer at Eastbourne, England, in the latter part of July.
This match, which is a biannual affair, is played for the Prentice Trophy which was donated by Bernon S. Prentice '05, Chairman of the United States Lawn Tennis Association and former captain and champion at Harvard.
The trophy is now in the possession of the English Universities having been won by the Oxford and Cambridge team at Newport in 1933, which gave the English a five to four lead in the matches played to date.
