From What I can determine, the four Harvard students arrested were held on a violation of a perfectly lawful ordinance, paid their fines, and were lawfully released. The Liberal Club, on the other hand, for some strange reason still feels that William Randolph Hearst and his newspapers are exerting dangerous, un-American, and insidiously alien influences upon an American press.
