5 MEMBERS OF FACULTY ELECTED TO NEW POSTS

Brinton Chosen Associate Professor of History--List Includes Hanson, Fair, Walker, and Cragg

Five Faculty elections and appointments to become effective on September 1, 1935, have been approved by the Corporation, it was announced yesterday at University Hall. They are:

C. Crane Brinton '19, elected associate professor of History and tutor in the Division of History, Government, and Economics. From 1924 to 1928 he was instructor in History and has since then held the capacity of assistant professor.

Gordon M. Fair '16, elected professor of Sanitary Engineering. He has been a member of the Faculty since 1918.

Arthur W. Hanson '12, elected professor of Accounting. Since 1921 he has been a member of the Business School Faculty.

Ross G. Walker, elected professor of Accounting for five years. Professor Walker was associate professor of Accounting at the University of Iowa 1924-26. During the next two years he was assistant professor of Accounting at the Business School, after which he became associate professor.

Charles I. Cragg, appointed associate professor of Business for five years. He has served on the Business School Faculty since 1929.
