FOURTEEN MORE GERMAN MEASLES CASES OCCUR

Dr. Means Pooh-Poohs "Epidemic" But Asks That Students Report at First Symptoms of Infection

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

German measles again became the prevalent source of worry around the Hygiene building, with the appearance of thirteen more cases yesterday. This rapid multiplication of roseate sufferers adds so greatly to the total in Stillman, that there are now more hands to hold than nurses to hold them. At present every House but Adams is represented among the afflicted, but the Gold Coasters entertain high hopes that they will soon crash through.

No Epidemic

Epidemic conditions have not yet been reached, according to Dr. Paul H. Means '17, medical adviser. There are now lower cases than there were two weeks ago, although danger of rapid spread is still prevalent owing to the laxity of students in reporting the disease.

To calm any frantic men who may have been exposed, Dr. Means belittled the seriousness of the Teutonic measle, comparing its effects to those of the common cold, and added that in many cases it was not even as bad as the villainous streptococcus.
