Throwing fists with abandon the Varsity boxing team launched its 1935 season with a 7-1 victory over M.I.T. at the Indoor Athletic Building Saturday evening.

With the exception of Roderick H. Sears '36, who was beaton by his 165-pound opponent, James E. Casalo, on a technical knockout for the only Tech score, the Crimson boxers won their bouts with comparative case.

James L. Kunon '36 and Peter B. Olney '37 were also awarded technical knockouts in the 125 and 155-pound classes, while no Engineers entered the ring in the heavyweight or 135-pound divisions.

Timothy J. Shea, Jr. '36 substituted for 175-pound Gordon F. Robertson '36 as Sears took the former's place in the proceding class.

115-pound class: Stuart Finer '36 (H) defeated Thomas Norton (MIT) by decision.

125-pound class: Kunen (H) defeated George Ewald (MIT) by technical knockout.

135-pound class: Peter Ward '36 (Capt.) (H) by default.

145-pound class: Edgar S. Davis '37 (H) defeated Frederick Claffee (MIT) by decision.

155-pound class: Olney (H) defeated Edward Gaugham (MIT) defeated Sears (II) by technical knockout.

165-pound class: Casale (MIT) defeated Sears (II) by technical knockout.

175-pound class: Shea (H) defeated Robert Thorson (MIT) by decision.

Heavyweight class: Thomas H. Choate '37 (H) by default.
