Lieutenant Talley to Speak At Institute of Geography

Talk Will Concern Peoples, Customs, and Archeology of Nicaragua

Lieutenant B. B. Talley who spent two years in Nicaragua from 1929 to 1931 with the Canal survey, will speak tonight at the Institute of Geography. He will talk on the peoples, customs, and archeology of Nicaragua.

Lieutenant Talley was in command of the engineers sent to relieve the city of Managua after the earthquake there in 1929. The city had caught fire after the quake and the engineers battled the fire without water for five days before it was put out.
