BALLOTING FOR '38 CLASS LEADERS TO END THIS EVENING

Bilodeau, Bliss, and Whitbeck Assist Kelly in Running Election--Union Is Scene of Vote Casting

With seven names added to the ballot by petition, voting for Freshman Class officers began in the Union yesterday morning under the direction of an upperclass committee, headed by Shaun Kelly '36.

The balloting will cease at 7 o'clock this evening instead of tomorrow the closing day previously announced, while the successful candidates will probably be named on Tuesday.

Included in the list of 28 nominees are six Freshman sport captains, six other prominent athletes, four non-athletic members of the Union Committee, two Red Book chairmen, and the football manager.

Assisting Kelly as the committee in charge of the casting and counting of votes are Thomas H. Bilodeau '37, Anthony A. Bliss '36, and Franklin P. Whitbeck '35.

Following is the list of nominees with the seven new men placed first.

Sherman P. Cotton, John L. Dampeer, Peter P. Hale, Aaron J. Himelhoch, Courtney C. Smith, Robert Sullivan, and Richard O. Ulin.

Charles R. Allen, Henry R. Ames, William L. Batt, Dario C. Berizzi, Peter T. Brooks, John L. Calvocoressi, William J. Clothier, Albert Damon, Hume Dow, Herbert L. Furse, and John H. Gardiner.

Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Francis Keppel, Franklin M. Ludden, Arthur Oakes, Ralph L. Pope, Jr., George F. Roberts, F. Skiddy von Stade, Jr., Albert Stickney, Jr., Donald B. Straus, and Robert Taft Whitman.
