Numerous mat aspirants had it out in the preliminary bouts at the New Indoor Athletic Building in the University Championship Wrestling Tournament yesterday afternoon. All the first-round matches were not fought off, however.

126-pound class: Frank C. Bosler '38 defeated Charles E. Tuttle, Jr. '37, by a fall. Time, 8 min.

135-pound class: Alexander A. Valois. Jr. '36 defeated Jacob N. Gelman 1GB. by a fall. Time, 4 min., 3 sec. Charles C. Daughaday '38 defeated Anderson, by a fall. Time, 2 min., 45 sec.

145-pound class: Edward L. Barnes '38 defeated David D. Malcolm '38. by a fall. Time, 4 min., 4 sec.

155-pound class: William G. Davis '37 defeated William A. Gosline, 3rd '38, by decision. Time, 2 min. John H. Gilbert '36 defeated Lorrin E. Woodman '38, by decision.

165-pound class: Sears defeated Herbert Mohan, Jr. '38, by a fall. Time, 2 min., 58 sec.
