Engineering Society to Show Film on Tennessee Authority

Technical Phases of Construction Occupy Many Shots

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Explaining the work and purposes of the Tennessee Valley Authority the Harvard Engineering Society will present a sound motion picture tomorrow afternoon entitled "A National Program in the Tennessee Valley."

The film shows why the President asked Congress to start the work and then proceeds to the more technical phases of construction of the dams, housing projects, and power developments. Soil erosion is given special attention.

Contrasts between the old and new order in the valley are emphasized in the latter shots showing the advantages the natives secure from the cheaper power for both farm and domestic use.

The showing will be at 4 o'clock in the Geographical Institute. No tickets are required for admission.
