HARVARD SKI TEAM TO COMPETE THIS SUNDAY

Three teams of Crimson Skiers Enter Meets in Vermont, New Hampshire, And Massachusetts

Three ski teams will compete for the University next Sunday, one in the Massachusetts Second Class Championship, one in the Third Class New Hampshire Downhill Championship, and a team of three men will enter the Middlebury College Carnival in northern Vermont.

H. Carter Adams '36, captain of the team who is entering his last meet before departing for Alaska, will load a five-man team in the Massachusetts Championship which consists of a downhill race off Graylock Mountain. The race will be run on the Thunderbolt which is a new one and one-fifth mile trail falling 1800 feet. The Harvard team will meet strong competition in the Schussverein and Hauhgeberge teams composed of Harvard graduates. The men who will compete in this meet are Robert T. Shaw '37, Charles S. Rogers '37, Dunbar Carpenter '37, H. Adams Carter '36 (Captain), and R. Colin MacLauren '38.

Nine men will go to the New Hampshire meet, which will be run on the Newport ski run off Sunapee Mountain near Newport, N. H. This is also a downhill race, and the skimen who will compete for the championship cup and the individual medals are Harold A. White '37, Fredrick S. Bigelow '36, Thomas Mottey, II '38, and William F. Loomis '36 of the first team; Harry S. Parker '35 and John M. Hammond '37, Sidney Cobb '38, Richard Preston '37, and Wendall M. Hastings '38 of the second team.
