Copeland Revealed as Poet In Old Farmer's Almanac

Hillyer and Other Harvard Men Also in Copy Given to Library

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Charles T. Copeland, '82, professor emeritus, revealed himself a budding young poet yesterday, when he presented to the Union a copy of the Old Farmer's Almanac containing a line of his own.

Under the heading of Poetry, Anecdotes and Pleasantries on page 48, "To eat is human, to digest divine" is to be found and underneath the signature, C. T. Copeland.

But Professor Copeland is not the only Harvard man to be represented in the Almanac. Robert S. Hillyer '17, associate professor of English, can beast of his "Snow is the Kindest" appearing on page 3, a place of honor. It is, in fact, the first poem in the pamphlet.
