"Theories of Hearing" and "Public Address System" will be main topics of discussion at the fourteenth annual meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in the Jefferson Physics Laboratory today and tomorrow.
The meeting in Hunt Hall this afternoon will be devoted to an appreciation of the works of the late Professor Wallace C. Sabine, whose work in architectural acoustics was begun forty years ago as a result of a request from the University authorities to investigate the acoustics of Hunt Hall. Following this meeting tea will be served in room 330 of the Research Laboratory of Physics and opportunity will be given to visit Professor Sabine's original sound room and other research being conducted in the building.
