Both Varsity and Freshman basketball quintets will play games away today, the Varsity invading Hanover for its first Intercollegiate League tilt of the season, and the Freshmen clashing with Milton Academy at Milton.
Green Not Formidable
The Big Green does not look as formidable this season as in years past. In its opener of the season against Middlebury College, Dartmouth found itself trailing 27-24 at the half. It was only with difficulty that this lead was overcome and a 43-40 victory eked out. Last Saturday the Green fared better against a weak St. Anselem's five, winning 51-23. However, it was a wild game with sloppy playing on both sides.
Crimson Lineup Unchanged
With one victory and one defeat behind it, the Crimson quintet has been going through the usual drills this week in preparation for the Dartmouth encounter. No changes have been made in the starting lineup, and as usual the second string all-Sophomore quintet including Herrick, Lowman, McGowan, Shirk, and Snell will probably see plenty of action.
Freshmen Play Milton
In the Freshman game against Milton, the same group will take the floor for the Crimson that defeated the Boston University Freshman last week. Tread Ruml has been moved back to center again, Rabenold and Grandahl are the starting forwards, and McLeod and Lupien will hold down the guard posts. In addition to his first team, Coach Adolph Samborski is taking along ton reserves. If Milton proves a weak opponent, he hopes to get a chance to try those men,
Milton Without Lettermen
There is a very good possibility that Milton will prove to be weak, too. For Coach Victor Logan has been forced to work this season without any of last year's first team lettermen. Both Squibb, his captain, and Pratt, captain of the football team were second team lettermen of last year. This is Milton's first game, however, and they may turn out to be more powerful than anticipated.
