With a dramatic finish, the Varsity squash team defeated the visitors from Lincoln's Inn yesterday, 5 to 1.
German G. Gidden '36 made a good start for Harvard by swamping C. T. Barnes 3-0. Richard W. Gilder '36 kept the pace by defeating A. K. Black 3-1. In a closer match Alvah W. Sulloway '38 topped A. Keyes 3-2.
The scales were then temporarily reversed when W. E. Coolidge of Lincoln's Inn won a quick and decisive victory over Donald E. Jackson '37. Richard M. Dorson '37 pulled the Crimson away from the red by defeating A. Cox 3-1.
After losing the first two games, John L. Clark '36 staged a grand finish by winning the next three games, thus conquering his opponent 3-2.
