Coach Samborski's call for Freshman basketball players was answered by 65 aspirants who met in the Indoor Gymnasium yesterday afternoon.
At the same time the head coach announced that D. H. MacIntosh 1L would assist him and take over the second Freshman. MacIntosh, a former football and basketball player at Notre Dame, will report Monday.
It is expected that the present squad will swell considerably when the football season is over. More men than ever will come from Soldiers Field this year since Harlow has declared that he is in favor of his men playing basketball in the winter.
The Freshmen will play a 13-game schedule, starting with Boston University on Wednesday, December 11.
