SHAUN KELLY WILL BE UNDERGRADUATE PACIFISH SPEAKER

For the peace meeting to be held tomorrow evening, Shaun Kelly, Jr. '36 has agreed to be the undergraduate speaker, while Oswald Garrison Villard '93 and Roger N. Baldwin '05 will be the non-academic speakers.

Kelly, who is football captain and a member of the Student Council, will start the meeting and will introduce Dean Hanford, who will then take charge as chairman.

Dean Hanford will present in order William L. Langer '15, associate professor of History, Villard, and Baldwin, a trio from whom a wide-variety of opinions and ideas should be forthcoming.

Diverse Records

Langer is an expert on modern European history and is a war veteran. His course, History 2, is one of the best known in College. Villard is a famous journalist and editor, who was once president of the New York Evening Post and later of The Nation. He is also the author of several books on modern Germany, including "Germany Embattled," published in 1915, and "The German Phoenix," published two years ago.

Baldwin, who is now director of the American Civil Liberties Union, was a conscientious objector during the War and as such served a jail sentence. He is also an official of the American League Against War and Fascism.

This meeting will be held tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock in New Lecture Hall and is sponsored by a large group of undergraduate organizations, including the Student Council, Phillips Brooks, the Cambridge Teachers Union, the Debating Society, the Peace Society, the Liberal Club, the Political Union, the N.S.L., and the S.L.I.D., and the Avukah. It is open to all members of the University.
