W. H. Page Succeeds Deland As Varsity Manager for Next Season

Walter Hines Page II '37, of Cold Spring Harbor, N. Y., succeeds F. Stanton Deland, Jr. '36, of Jamaica Plain, as varsity football manager for the 1936 team, it was announced Saturday evening at the Football banquet at the Ritz.

Page, who won his sophomore managership competition last year, has been first assistant manager this fall. In his Freshman competition he finished in second place. He prepared at Milton Academy.

Whitman Wins

Robert Taft Whitman '38, of Greenwich, Connecticut, was announced as winner of the Sophomore Competition at the same time. He will be first assistant manager next fall, and first manager in 1937. Whitman prepared at St. Mark's School.

Charles Wells Hubbard III, of Wellesley Farms, will be Junior Varsity manager next year, having been. Freshman manager during the past season. Mason Thacher Rogers, Jr. '37, of Belmont, will become associate manager in charge of tickets. He was Intramural manager this fall.

Richard Ellis Bennick '38, of Cambridge, who finished second in the Sophomore competition, becomes Freshman manager in 1936, Junior Varsity manager in 1937. Henry Shippen Goodhue '38, of Boston, becomes Intramural manager next fall, associate manager in charge of tickets in 1937. Talbot Jones Taylor III '38, of Long Island, N. Y. finished fourth in the Sophomore competition.

Graham King '36, of Syracuse, New York, who has been Junior Varsity manager this fall, retires along with Deland.
