NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Nine out of the twelve undergraduates named Murphy are to receive awards this year from the fund left in 1916 by William Stanislaus Murphy '85, "for the collegiate education of men by the name of Murphy."

Eugene F. Murphy '39, of Jamaica Plain; Paul J. Murphy '39, of Charlestown; Ralph 10, Murphy '39, of New Albany, Ind.; and Everett B. Murphy '36, of Irvington, N. J., will receive a total of $1700.

Five other students bearing the name of Murphy are to be awarded beneficiary aids totaling $900, and the remaining $200 of this year's fund will be given after mid-years. There are three more Murphys eligible.

These scholarships are given only to students of high scholastic standing, and are apportioned with respect to their financial circumstances.
