Kirtley F. Mather, professor of Geology, will speak tonight before the Freshman Science Discussion group on "Geology and Economic Planning." The meeting will be held at 7.15 o'clock in the Upper Common Room of the Union.
Professor Mather will have dinner at the Union at 6.15 o'clock, and the first applicants will be accomodated at his table. After the talk, there will be an opportunity for an informal discussion on geological questions.
This is the first of a series of scientific discussions by Faculty members of the various departments and of the Medical School. At meetings open to all Freshmen, there will be a popular presentation of the subject with some of the technical aspects discussed, and there will be opportunity for discussion with the speaker about concentration in that field.
