COMPETITIONS FOR CRIMSON BOARDS TO START TOMORROW

Preliminary Meeting Will Be Held in Crimson Building at 7:30 O'Clock Tomorrow Evening

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A vigorous University administration, new athletic policies, a rambunctious federal administration which uses the services of Harvard men, and a turbulent international situation ensure an especially interesting CRIMSON competition this year.

Freshmen are invited to assemble in the President's office in the CRIMSON building at 7.30 o'clock tomorrow evening to learn about the work of candidates for the News, Business, and Photographic Boards. Only Sophomores are eligible for the Editorial competition.

First year men at Harvard can find no better way of becoming acquainted with their surroundings than by entering a competition which will put them in direct touch with all athletics and organizations, and give them entry to interesting parts of the University which would not otherwise he open to them.

Candidates for the News Board will have opportunities to carry out assignments suited to any special interests they may have. Beside the ordinary day's activities, they will cover more unusual events, ranging from boxing matches, through exhibitions of fine chinaware. A predecessor set the pace by an interview with Al Smith ensconced in his bath.

The Business Board has a more hopeful look on its face these days as Cambridge and the rest of the country stand on the verge of a great increase of business activity. Freshmen who try out for that board will have an opportunity to write copy, meet business men on business terms, and gain an insight to the firms seeking Harvard customers.

Photographers and those who would like to learn about photography will have a chance to follow their hobby by competing for the Photographic Board. There is a constant demand for pictures with promise of more interesting assignments in the next few months.
