INTERNATIONAL DEBATE WITH CANADIAN TEAM

DEAN AND NEXON SPEAKERS FOR AFFIRMATIVE SIDE

Members of the Debating Council will take part in an international debate with a Canadian team next Monday in the Lowell House Common Room at 8 o'clock.

Sponsored by the National Federation of Canadian Universities, J. Ernest Richardson, of Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, and William B. Morrisey, of the New Brunswick University, Fredericton, N. B., have been making a debating four of New England under the name of the Maritime Team.

The debate Monday will be on the subject, "Resolved, that so-called advanced nations should leave so-called advanced nations should leave so-called backward nations to work out their own political and economic salvation". The Canadian team has the negative side of this question.

The Harvard team will be made up of W. Tucker Dean '37, and Hubert H. Nexon '37, speakers; Vincent Rossi '38, and William Hancock '38, alternates.

Richardson is now a Senior in the Dalhousie Law School and is prominent in debating and basketball. Morrisey is a senior in New Brunswick University and outstanding in debating, journalism, dramatics and music.

There will be no decision in this debate.
