Principle Norwegian Delegate to the League of Nations, Honorable Carl Joachim Hambro will give a public lecture on "The League and Its Present Crisis," at 8 o'clock Friday evening, in the New Lecture Hall. The meeting will be held under the auspices of the Dowse Institute.

Hambro is not only a distinguished figure in Norway, but all Europe as well. He was one of those largely responsible for the practical organization and technique of League procedure and has played an instrumental role in the work at Geneva.

Member of the Norwegian Parliament since 1919 and President of this body since 1926, Hambro ranks as first officer of the Kingdom under the King. In 1923 he was a member of the committee which negotiated a treaty with Denmark over Greenland; three years later he became the head of the Norwegian Delegation to the League. Five years ago he was elected to the League's Executive Committee. Before entering into Norwegian politics, Hambro served, as professor, editor, and author.

The Dowse Institute, sponsor of Friday's meeting, is a lecture fund unconnected with the University and held by a board of trustees.
