Osaka, Japan, Saturday, Sept, 22--The wall of wind which swept in from the sea, causing a tidal wave and toppling tall buildings in southwestern Japan like matchwood, left more than 4,100 persons dead and injured, officials estimated to-day.

Officials estimated property damage at approximately $125,000,000. Power plants were paralyzed. Water pumps were stopped, and a water famine and disease threatened the community in the storm-torn area. Military depots supplied food for 200,000 persons.
