Coach Mikkola Sends Cross Country Men on First Work

Twenty-two Harriers Turn Out for Varsity Squad

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday afternoon the cross country men reported to Coach Jaakko Mikkola for the first workout of the season. Only 22 turned out for the Varsity squad and about 16 for the Freshman, but the numbers should be increased at the turnout this afternoon, at 3.15 o'clock at Soldiers Field.

Coach Mikkola confined the day's session to the flat course, but promised something more energetic in the future in case any one didn't feel satisfied with the amount of work involved. The prospects for the harriers are very bright this year, with a squad of veterans returning to service.
