As a by product of the cooperative plan between the Harvard Business School and the Yale Law School there has been developed at Yale a course thro which upper classmen may obtain an introduction to the methods and materials of business. This is for students who have not had an opportunity of taking the combined course and is to be in the form of a special seminar.
Last year the special field of study was Marketing. The sessions of the class were conducted generally by a member of the faculty of each of the schools. This year the emphasis will be shifted to the financing of business ventures, particularly under the New Deal legislation. The principal member of the Harvard faculty taking part is George E. Bates, assistant professor in the Business School and also research associate on the Sterling Foundation at Yale.
