NO CHANGES SCHEDULED FOR PENN-NAVY RACE

THREE CREWS LEAVE CAMBRIDGE ON THURSDAY

Retaining the same boatings that performed so well in the Triangular Regatta last Saturday, Coach Charlie White-side will leave with the Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman crews Thursday afternoon for the annual row against Navy and Penn on Saturday.

The race will be over the mile and a half course on the Severn river thus giving the opposing craws a distinct advantage over the Crimson eight which is designed principally, for distance race. Navy and Penn are both rated as fast crews despite Princeton's defeat of the former and Yale's victory over Pennsylvania on the Harlem.

The improvement in speed shown by the crews last Saturday, however, makes it quite possible that the Varsity and Freshmen will come home as victors. The Freshmen fulfilled the great hopes that were held for them last Saturday.

Last Saturday, however, did not provide a real test of the powers of the Harvard crews. There was no real opposition to overcome in any of the races except of the last spurt of the Union Boat club when the Jayvees were caught napping and were almost overtaken. The Varsity also was slow and Tech gained quite a lead at the start; but there was little difficulty in regaining the distance and crossing the line three and a half lengths ahead of the Engineers.
