In a .22 caliber rifle meet in the Memorial Hall rifle range last night, the Harvard Naval R.O.T.C lost to the Marine Corps team from the Boston Navy Yard by the score of 873 to 805. The Marine Corps team was led by the fine shooting of Corporal Seeser who scored 183 out of a possible 200 for the highest total of the evening, while Elmer P. Madsen '37 led the Harvard contingent with a score of 176. Each man shot four targets, one standing, one sitting, one kneeling, and one prone. The inexperienced Harvard team though it has only practiced for two weeks, made an unexpectedly good showing against the strong Marine Corps outfit, and thus strengthened their chances in the National R.O.T.C. Tournament which will be shot next Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
